In case you haven’t heard the latest news from Down Under,Jimmy Buffett, 64, was hospitalized Wednesday after falling off the stage at his Sydney, Australia concert. I’m glad to say our favorite Coral Reefer is okay. Buffett was listed in stable condition at Sydney’s St. Vincent’s Hospital just a few hours after the fall and is currently taking time off to recover.

As one of many Parrotheads (Jimmy Buffett fans), I’ve noticed that Buffett and I share the same love for the island escapism lifestyle. Buffett, king of the Parrotheads and mayor of Margaritaville, established his easy-going beach bum persona while living in Key West, Florida and has since been a frequent visitor of St. Barts in the Caribbean. I must say that the man has great taste in travel! All I need now is to share a margarita with Buffett on a CheapCaribbean.com vacation, so stay tuned; when it’s five o’clock somewhere we might be hosting a contest for our Margaritaville fans in honor of our favorite beach performer.
